Social 10-1

I did a homework check on your Chapter 18-19 Key Terms and Questions today at the beginning of class. I went through a lecture on the "Biofuel Controversy". You can find this lecture on the Social 10-1 wiki under Unit 4 Presentations. Starting next week, we're going to start doing review for your two-part final exam.

Upcoming Important Dates for Social 10-1 students:

• Unit 4 Final Exam is on Monday, June 12th (the study guide will be posted here on June 5th)
• Social 10-1 Final Exam Part "A" is on Thursday, June 8th (one week from today)
• Social 10-1 Final Exam Part "B" is on Friday, June 16th

I did a homework check on your Chapter 14-15 Key Terms and Questions at the beginning of class today. You did a pair partner test on Unit 4 material today. You're writing your Unit 3 Final Exam on Wednesday, June 3rd. Your Chapter 16 Key Terms and Questions are due on Monday, June 5th.

• how can foreign policy promote internationalism?
• tied aid, bilateral aid, multilateral aid
• examples of INGOs and IGOs
• the United Nations (organization/structure, bodies, etc.)
• peacemaking vs. peacekeeping (and examples)
• different understandings of internationalism (types of internationalism)
• why do international organizations exist? purposes and examples
