I showed you the documentary "China Rises: Getting Rich" today. As you watched this documentary you were supposed to complete the film study that went along with it. The Chapter 10 Key Terms are due on Thursday, April 12th. I've split you into two groups for Friday's debate. Tomorrow, we'll be in Room 241 to work on debate preparation. The topic "BIRT the 21st century will belong to China" was debated at the Munk Debates. We watched Episode 5 of "Eyes on the Prize" today, so the questions are due tomorrow. Please make sure that you're working on your Google Docs group on your Paper 3 essay questions prep. On April 17th, you'll be writing a Civil Rights Movement Test, you can find the study guide below. If I don't see some activity on your Paper 3 Prep Google Doc Groups soon, I will set due dates for the questions. 

U.S. CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT TEST STUDY GUIDE:

This test has multiple formats: there is a matching section, a short answer section, and 25 multiple choice questions. You will have the entire class period to write it. 

• study the "Civil Rights Movement" PowerPoint (you can find an electronic copy on the IB 30/35 wiki under Civil Rights and Social Movements in the Americas section)
• know key individuals in the U.S. Civil Rights Movement (Martin Luther King, James Farmer, John Lewis, Malcolm X, Stokely Carmichael, etc.)
• know key organizations in the movement (NAACP, SCLC, SNCC, CORE, Black Panthers, Nation of Islam, and key players)
